I may have bribed these children to get a quick (never fast enough) Easter picture of them. I sometimes think I have to freeze them in time because they just change so quickly.
Laurel: working on a persuasive speech about how ballet is athletic, practicing both violin and ballet in preparation for spring performances, selected a soloist for a school performance, always planning, shopping for earrings, the Beauty and the Beast sound track, anticipating full braces, and wearing more comfortable shoes :)
Jonah: playing basketball (for one more week), soccer (first game tomorrow), and dodgeball (just for fun), has become an expert in Thunder (a complicated basketball game a little like h-o-r-s-e), reading more, experimenting with both Tinker Crate and STEAM activities, biking, wanting to be outside...
Elijah: playing soccer and baseball, wearing the same size shoe as his brother Silas, full of sparkly imagination, operating on his own timeline, expressing strong preferences, usually the sweetest spirit in the house, presenting his STEAM project to both the expo judges and his class.
Silas: arriving at 48 magical inches which is tall enough for the water slide, playing soccer, planning time with friends, preparing for a preschool spring show and kindergarten round up, loving Henry and Risby (and Beverly Cleary read aloud in general).
